Registration Notes: Originally called Hilton Champion, this tartan was designed by Kinloch Anderson for the officials and winning jacket for The Heritage golf tournament.

The name was changed to Heritage Plaid in September 2000.

Interesting Facts

  • Tournament Organizers wore canary yellow jackets during the first Heritage November 27-30, 1969.
  • Organizers chose the Royal Stewart tartan then removed one yellow bar from the cloth to make it unique to The Heritage.
  • In the early years, the champion was given a red coat after his victory. It wasn’t until the next year’s Opening Ceremonies that he was presented with his Tartan Jacket.
